  1. Cells, red blood cells, white blood cells. One drop of blood contains approx 50 million red blood cells, 100,00 white blood cells and 2.5 million platlets. Blood also is made mostly of plasma. Water makes up most of the plasma. People have different blood types. Adults have 10 pints of blood, children have less. Thats pretty much all I learned from this video. Along with everything thing else that includes science, it deems something I may want to research more on.

  2. Its pretty amazing how your blood travels all around your body just to deilieve oxygen of course it has to stop at the lungs and then of coure they carry around nutrients. The blood is like a messager for your body!

  3. Blood has alot of different blood cells, such as red, white. Platelets are also in your blood and they are the things that cover up cuts, scrapes and scratchs.Plasma makes up just a little less that 50% of blood.

  5. I always thought that the blood is only part of the circulatory system but it plays a big part in the respiratory system too. That would suck if we didn't have platelets, we could bleed to death from a tiny paper cut if we didn't. The heart does pretty much ALL the work for the body then.

    1. You are right, the whole purpose of having blood is so that the oxygen we breath can be delivered around our body. I like to think of our circulatory system as the highway and roads in our body and the red blood cells as the delivery trucks on those roads. What would the white blood cells and platelets be in that analogy?

What if there were cells inside of those cells and inside of those cells, there were even more cells, and even more cells that were so small that you could not see them with the most powerful microscope in the world. If one man has billions of cells, why don't cells have the same amount. I could be famous for finding this out! :P

  7. You are right in a way. There are smaller parts inside of cells called organelles. We will be learning more about them in class soon.

  10. I never would of thought we could fit that many blood cells in our body then agian i never thought they were so small. its amazing how blood goes through most systems in our body. Also i never really knew about platelets but im really starting to see how important they are. That would suck if we bled to death over a paper cut.
